My name is Carmela and I’m a writer, artist, and astrologer. I’m a second-generation Filipino-Canadian currently settled on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC.

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BA in Communication, Art, & Technology (Double Minor in Communication and Psychology) in the spring of ‘24. My research interests include digital privacy and media literacy education, specifically concerning children and marginalized communities.

I began studying astrology in 2017, during my 8th house profection year. In 2021, I completed Oak Astrology School’s Natal Astrology Course, followed by the Transits and Predictive Astrology Mentorship in 2022. My purpose with readings is to help provide clarity and grounded guidance through the lens and practice of Astrology.
